From crimson shadows to radiant light, buried truth rises with hope — a call to walk boldly into God’s mystery.
Kirk’s mission is simple. To point people to the truth, to lift their eyes to the wisdom of Scripture, and to honor the God who lovingly brought His hidden mystery into the light.
Meet the Author
Hello, my name is Kirk Howell. I have no degree in Christian studies or theology, but I have studied the Bible quite thoroughly, memorized lots of Scripture, studied Biblical Greek, led many Bible studies, and taught many classes. My Air Traffic career also led me to teach and write extensively regarding Air Traffic procedures. Our local procedures had to be in harmony with the national order, FAA 7110.65. That training and discipline helped me greatly in my Biblical studies and this project. That being, apply Biblical context thoroughly in all your studies (i.e., exegesis), and avoid making any argument not amply supported by Biblical context (i.e., eisegesis). In writing this book, I diligently strove to apply that principle. And here is the key – In my studies for this work, I discovered that many of our established Church doctrines severely lack exegetical support. That is what drove me to study, write, and eventually publish this book.

The Gospel: God's Mystery Revealed
You may be wondering, “Do we really need another Gospel commentary? Why does the title associate the Gospel with mystery, and even more, a mystery revealed?”
Contrast Jesus with the Old Testament Father God, their image in your mind. Jesus loving, patient, and forgiving. The Father God something quite different, strict adherence to Law, genocidal nation building. Have you ever struggled with that? Most everyone has, and most still do, though they may not openly admit it. Church scholarship has striven over the ages to find the solution. Why did God have to be so mysterious? This book will give you the Biblical answer.
And why do the Gospels preached by Jesus and Paul seem to conflict? Jesus-more towards works. Paul – more towards grace. And like me, have you not been pestered with conflicting crucifixion explanations? Was it really God’s judgment on display? Was the Father truly placing all our sin on Jesus’ back? And what about the Jews? Did they actually fail God in their climactic final exam?
